The firm worked with the District to construct its new headquarters in which multiple fire companies and an Emergency Medical Service/Rescue Squad would share the space. The new facility was built on the same site as the original headquarters in the downtown area across from an active train station and near a municipal parking area. The planning required attention to the traffic flow and street/property layout in the design. The apparatus room would house a fleet of 8 to 10 trucks and other vehicles. The lobby and attractive staircase are welcoming features in the building. The headquarters has multiple offices, conference rooms, a spacious meeting room and training classrooms. There is a commercial kitchen and adequate storage areas to meet the districts needs for the years ahead. |
