The firm was retained by the district to complete the interior and exterior renovation, including alterations of its existing firehouse. All the construction work was planned so as not to impede normal firematic operations. The traditional features of the building were enhanced, including the restoration of original masonry. The parking field was enlarged and improved and drainage measures incorporated. New additions to the facility were designed to house an elevator and a stair tower. The second floor was expanded to gain more space to meet the growing needs of the district. The Closed Circuit Television, security and computer systems were integrated and the utilities were upgraded bringing all systems up to date and helping streamline operations. |
