The North Shore Towers and Country Club project involved the renovation of the main entrance lobby for the three towers where the golf club, movie theater and other amenities are accessed by residents and guests. Designer, Beth Donner worked in concert with the firm to transform and invigorate the lobby to create a “Grand Entrance.” Before the construction phase, several permits from the City of New York and various boards were required including a submittal of a three dimensional color rendering. Throughout the nine months of lobby reconstruction, even when the ceiling was raised, the service desk remained operational and it was safe for people to enter and exit. The color scheme selected reflected the management company’s familiar branding and marketing materials. The creative use of mahogany, glass, stainless steel and elegant chandeliers, tasteful artwork and functional cabinetry gave the lobby’s reception area and adjacent hallways a contemporary and welcoming atmosphere. The security system and other technologies were integrated effectively. Today residents and visitors are impressed by the new, luxurious entranceway. |
