The designs for the American Burger Company restaurants
were developed to correspond with restaurateur John Tunney III's desire
to satisfy the public's desire for hearty sizzling hamburgers in a
nostalgic atmosphere. The retro fifties and sixties interior and exterior
designs created by the firm capture this ambiance. The firm researched
alternative design concepts and created a color scheme that was friendly
and inviting but which also incorporated a few modern touches such
as mp3 player docking stations. The firm continues to review other
design alternatives to assist in developing a standard that will be
the basis for a planned multi-unit development program. |
